UK exclusive in Cambridge by Tangueando:

Following the tradition of visiting teachers of the highest caliber, and opening the 2014 Springtime of Tango in Cambridge, Tangueando has arranged an exclusive first visit in the UK of these highly respected professional Tango dancers from Argentina. We look forward to learning from them and being inspired by them!

Diego Escobar is a tango dancer, teacher and choreographer. He has toured internationally with Argentine dance companies for over 15 years. He worked for five years in “Tango x 2” with Miguel Angel Zotto and has been awarded as a dancer, choreographer and teacher.

In Buenos Aires he worked at the Astral theatre, performing “Tangos de la Cruz del Sur”, and at the Lola Membrives theatre performing “Tango x 2, la historia”. Diego was choreographer and dancer in the Ruben Juarez show, he also was part of the Hotel Faena cast, and the principal dancer of Piazzolla Tango. He now runs his own tango company “TangoClassic”.

Angi Staudinger began her career as a dancer in Córdoba, starring and directing the show “Tango Vivo”. She danced with the “Orquesta Provincial de Música Ciudadana” at the Libertador Theatre.

Angi was part of the show “Grisel-Contursi, un abrazo interminable”, in Córdoba, also shown in Valparaiso and Viña del Mar, Chile. She is a renowned teacher in Argentina and Italy.

Diego and Angi teach (and are often invited for months in a row) in different cities around the world, such as Rome, Perugia, Torino, Amsterdam, Madrid, Malaga, Sevilla, Marbella, San Francisco, New York and Tokyo. They danced with “Narcotango” in Roma, and stared in the show “Tango íntimo” at the Repertorio Español Theatre in New York. They were part of the show “Tango Mio” at Lope de Vega theatre of Sevilla and Nacional Theatre of Chile. Invited by Tango Origin Tokyo, they taught and exhibited in Japan. They were invited to participate on the first Euro-argentinian Tango Festival in Madrid, and were part of the chosen cast of teachers in “Tango con las Estrellas”, in Buenos Aires. They danced with the “Orquesta Vale Tango” and “Los Cosos de al Lado”. They performed at the renowned La Ventana, Casa de Tango, a showcase for Tango performances for more than 25 years in the historic San Telmo neighborhood of Buenos Aires.

Diego and Angi also teach at Mariposita and Sunderland Club” (among others), in Buenos Aires.

We planned these 3 days so that they could be enjoyed all together as a tango weekend, balancing learning, dancing & practising without being too heavy on the body or the mind. We recommended it for an immersive experience that could make an impact on your dancing.

Workshops & Seminar

Diego & Angi gave three workshops on Tango, Vals and Milonga on Friday and Saturday and a Intensive Seminar on Sunday.

FRIDAY: Tango Salon workshop for improvers followed by a workshop on Milonga lisa

SATURDAY: Vals workshop before the milonga, and performance by Diego & Angi at milonga Pasional!

SUNDAY: A special 3-hour seminar on Tango Salon, including technique and couple work, followed by a guided practica with the maestros (not included).

This 3 day event took place the week following the end of the Lent term and one week before the start of the Easter term.



The workshops and the Seminar were for a strictly limited number of couples.
